Resource Hogs

Is your computer running sluggish? Take a look at the task manager and see what programs are using your system resources. In this case, BeInSync is the culprit and wins the Resource Hog of the Day award.

I appreciate what BeInSync does for me: it keeps my three main computers in synch (automatically) so that any documents I create and/or change on one computer is automatically synched to my other computers. Plus, it keeps my documents backed up (automatically) off site, so if anything happens, I am a couple clicks away from restoring my data.

But ... I can't afford to have a program like BeInSync eating up 50 percent of my CPU resources. So, I find myself quitting this process to free up the resources, which eliminates the automatic synching and backup, one of the reasons I use BeInSync.

Lesson for the day: watch for resource hogs on your system.
