## Morgan and Obsidian Integration
- Morgan is a tool for time management with events and tasks that integrates with other tools, such as [[Obsidian (software) | Obsidian]], a great writing tool [(00:00:00)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=0s).
- Obsidian can have tasks for things to do, and with the integration, these tasks can be shown inside Morgan [(00:00:16)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=16s).
- To connect Morgan to Obsidian, go to Morgan's preferences, select local Integrations, click on Obsidian, and connect a vault by selecting the main folder of the Obsidian vault [(00:00:50)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=50s).
- After connecting the vault, a notification will appear saying "Obsidian vault connected," and the first dropdown allows adding an ID using an emoji to all tasks inside the Obsidian vault [(00:01:17)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=77s).
- There are options to add IDs to all tasks or only import tasks with existing IDs, and it's also possible to ask Morgan to automatically add IDs to all tasks [(00:01:21)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=81s).
- Before adding IDs and connecting, it's possible to go to ignored directories and add a folder to exclude certain tasks from being imported [(00:01:58)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=118s).
## Adding IDs to Obsidian Tasks
- Once IDs are added, they cannot be undone, and IDs will be given to all tasks once the "Add IDs" button is pushed [(00:02:25)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=145s).
- After adding IDs, tasks in [[Obsidian (software) | Obsidian]] will have automatic IDs, and there's another setting in Morgan to set a done date on completed tasks [(00:02:40)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=160s).
- The done date only works from the Morgan side, so when a task is completed in Morgan, the completed date will be added [(00:02:59)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=179s).
- To make the done date work inside Obsidian, the Obsidian task plugin and the emoji task format should be used [(00:03:05)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=185s).
- The Obsidian task plugin can be installed by going to settings, Community plugins, browsing, and searching for the tasks plugin [(00:03:14)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=194s).
- The settings for Obsidian tasks are now set and ready to go, with the date being added to every completed task, allowing users to track when tasks were completed [(00:03:29)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=209s).
## Setting up Done Dates in Obsidian
- When a task is marked as done in [[Obsidian (software) | Obsidian]], it will also be marked as completed in Morgan, and vice versa, thanks to the Obsidian integration [(00:03:47)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=227s).
- The task plugin in Obsidian provides an Autosuggest option, allowing users to easily add due dates to tasks, which will also be reflected in the Morgan calendar app [(00:04:08)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=248s).
- Users can add due dates and priorities to tasks in Obsidian, which will be synced with Morgan, and can be viewed and grouped by priority in Morgan [(00:04:36)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=276s).
- Morgan provides various viewing options to display tasks, including grouping by priority, and allows users to schedule tasks in their calendar [(00:04:48)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=288s).
- New tasks created in Obsidian will automatically be added to the list in Morgan, with an ID, and can be scheduled in the calendar [(00:05:23)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=323s).
## Task Management Across Platforms
- The [[Obsidian (software) | Obsidian]] integration with Morgan enables seamless task management across both platforms, allowing users to track and schedule tasks efficiently [(00:05:42)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhPDVrO0XO0&t=342s).
