They were taught that the government would always take care of them through welfare programs. They learned from previous generations to milk the system and attain a standard of living that surpassed most of the rest of the world. Their only required task to sustain that standard of living was to show up to the polls every few years and vote for the gravy train candidates. The financial burden of maintaining the dependent class had hit critical mass years ago. Combined with military spending that surpassed the military budgets of all the other countries on earth, entitlement spending had taken America's debt into the abyss. The warnings had been ignored and now the day of reckoning was here. It seeks to provide an in depth look at the history of The American Revolution, giving particular attention to the events surrounding Lexington and Concord. The history segment of the program looks deep into the hearts of the men who made a stand against the most powerful military force on the planet in their day. “The marksmanship part of the course teaches the basics of shooting a rifle with aperture sights in standing, sitting and prone positions. The course is also designed to familiarize shooters with quick magazine changes. Participants shoot at small targets at short distances which trains them to hit larger targets at longer distance. Several hundred rounds are usually shot by each participant over the length of the two-day course, so .22 long rifle is the recommended ammunition. Even with recent ammunition shortages, .22 long rifle is still the most affordable round for heavy training. The Ruger 10/22 is the most popular gun used at the training clinics, but Marlin manufactured a .22 rifle called the Marlin Liberty Training Rifle. It’s perfect for the marksmanship class. It comes with a sling, adjustable aperture sights and two detachable magazines which, like the 10/22, is now illegal under the executive order that Howe signed two days ago. The first line of the Constitution plainly spells out who is in charge of seeing that the governing authority is followed. The framers, who established that authority with God’s help, wanted to make it abundantly clear who were to be the ultimate overseers of that authority. To accomplish this, they wrote those words larger than any other words on the document. It is the guidestone to correctly interpreting this area of scripture which I will be speaking on today. Romans 13:1 ([Location 4729](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B06Y2K9MN6&location=4729)) - “The Sixth Amendment guarantees a speedy trial, yet the 2012 NDAA Indefinite Detention Clause allows our government to indefinitely hold citizens without charging them. This unjust law also violates the principles in the Eighth Amendment which prohibits excessive bail. I would say indefinite detention would have a more egregious effect than excessive bail. ([Location 4751](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B06Y2K9MN6&location=4751)) - “The federal government has taken over education, welfare, healthcare, agriculture and many other areas that no government, state or federal, has authority over. Laws about what drugs are allowable for medicinal purposes ought to be the decisions of a state. If a person feels the laws in one state are excessive or too relaxed, they ought to be able to move to a state where they are more agreeable. States ought to be in charge of their own food regulations. If Idaho wants to drink raw milk and folks from Utah don't because of the health risk, so be it. All the minor rules of day-to-day governing are supposed to be set by the states. The federal government has a very, very small role to do in defending our borders, maintaining a post office, writing bankruptcy laws and coining money. Notice the government was allowed by the constitution to coin money, not print it. ([Location 4756](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B06Y2K9MN6&location=4756)) - Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.   Benjamin Franklin ([Location 7386](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B06Y2K9MN6&location=7386)) - God is able to punish the wicked and spare the righteous. He discerns between the wheat and the chaff. ([Location 7486](https://readwise.io/to_kindle?action=open&asin=B06Y2K9MN6&location=7486))
