### 08/11/2023 Learning Obsidian has been on my radar for a couple of years. I have played with the application several times, but I've never seriously tried to develop a workflow. Since 2008, I have been a devoted Evernote user. I still rely on Evernote for most of my notes, but I see the power and advantage Evernote offers. As part of my [[Learn In Public]] determination, I will begin learning Obsidian and publishing my journey using Obsidian Publish. I can envision this Obsidian Vault replacing my website. Hopefully, this will become a public repository of my writing and study notes or a Personal Knowledge Base. There are a ton of things I do not understand about Obsidian, and I know that using Obsidian Publish limits the power of Obsidian because (at this time) Publish is unable to take advantage of plugins. So, here we go. I'm sure this will be messy and I will make a ton of mistakes, but, that's part of the fun. It's not like I have a perfect system in place already. My notes are sprayed over a myriad of places, from paper files to Dropbox to applications like Evernote, OneNote, Devonthink, Ecco Pro, Day One, Ulysses, Logos Bible Software, Microsoft Word, and probably some WordPerfect in there. It's a mess. For reference, this is what my website (www.chriseller.net) looks like as of today built using Squarespace: ![[2023-08-11-personal-site.png]]
